What is credit?

Credit is awarded when your previous formal study at another university or equivalent institution can be transferred to a Lincoln degree. This will reduce the number of courses you need to complete to gain a qualification with us.

How is credit awarded?

Credit will be awarded at an appropriate level for the content of the qualifying course. Credit may be:

? For a specified Lincoln course with a named specific course code; or
? Specified by level, but not by course (this is known as unspecified credit and can be used in place of an elective).

There are rules around how much credit can be transferred. For more information, see our Cross Credit application form.
